Rather than playing in individual structured tournament brackets one at a time, ACC members participate via the platform's comprehensive **Competitive Matchmaking** system over the course of an extensive 12-week season of roughly 90-days.

⚠️ Seasonal Tournament Tracking Limit: Because this long-form format spans an extensive quarterly timeline, there are significantly higher Internet Rating Points (IRPs) available. Consequently, completing or locking into a single seasonal tournament will count as 10 full tournaments toward your 150 annual tournament limit.

The Seasonal Placement & Registration Process

Unlike other playing sites, there is no active manual "check-in" procedure required to enter a seasonal bracket. Registration is integrated seamlessly into your initial matchmaking sequence:

Phase 1

Placement Phase: The first time you launch Competitive Matchmaking in a new season, you automatically enter placement status (currently consisting of 5 placement matches).

Phase 2

Opt-Out Window: Prior to completing your final placement match, you retain full flexibility to bow out for the remainder of the season with no penalty, choosing to either re-enter later or wait until the next season unlocks.

Phase 3

Automatic Lock-In: The exact moment your 5th placement match finishes, your status transitions to entered for that season.

Please note: Once you trigger the automatic lock-in, the season immediately counts as 10 entries against your 150 annual tournament limit — regardless of whether you choose to finish out the remaining seasonal schedule. Entering the placement pipeline confirms your agreement to follow all tracking and structural guidelines set forth by both the ACC and Cribbage Pro.

The competitive matchmaking portal is built to fit your personal schedule perfectly, prioritizing flexible playing time, rather than fixed schedules:

Play on Your Schedule: There are no set match start times, no fixed brackets, and no requirements to sit through hours-long tournaments. You simply log in and play matches when your schedule permits.
Slick Matchmaking: Open the Multiplayer lobby dashboard, navigate into the **Competitive** portal, and select **"Find Match"** to instantly pair with an online opponent. Games begin automatically once both profiles signal readiness.
Fast-Paced Action: Every competitive pairing is played as a **Best of 3 games** series that modifies your overall season leaderboard standings. Server-side turn timers enforce prompt plays to keep matches crisp.
Strict Match Decorum: Competitive matches are highly serious events distinct from casual table rooms. In-game text chat is fully deactivated, and players are strictly expected to play at a reasonable speed and complete their assignments without abandoning matches.
